Keep your head up

No matter what your goals may be there are roadblocks and hurdles. Little things that try stop or hinder you from your goal.

This may go on for 1,2 or 3 months. However, if you keep your intent positive and do the little things that you know will help achieve your goal, you will make it!!

Take the smallest victories on your way to your big goal. If a hurdle pops up, face it with the intent of learning and progressing. By keeping a positive outlook in the face of adversity not only will it make the journey a lot better, but it will make the victory that much sweeter!!

Keep your head up. Have an open mindset every day. Remember. yesterday’s successes or hurdles are in the past. If we truly want to reach our goals we need to treat everyday as new and wonderful opportunity. (Because it is 🙂

Make it the best day!

New Music

We came across a free concert last night. The artist was talented and the setting was incredible.

Band Of Heathens

All of the above combined for a pretty unique and fantastic experience. I hope you enjoy the music as much as we did!

Create

Create something fun.

Create something that challenges you.

Create with no restraint.

Create from a random idea.

It can be a drawing, a song, a poem, a new meal. So many things to create, don’t let your mind or this blog limit you.

Take some time and tap into your creative juices.

Make it the best day!

Embrace the day

Yesterday might have not gone how you wanted it to.

Tomorrow can go either way, we don’t know.

However, we can create today and live in the moment.

Failures and successes from the past are just that. Failures and successes in the past. They do not have a direct correlation on how you will become successful today. Unless you plan to dwell on the failures and let them shape your view of the present.

Create the day you want. Live it with gratitude. Do not let yesterday dictate today.

Make it the best day!

Daily blog

Seth Godin is a bright mind. He is actually where I got the idea for the daily blog. Every day I stop by his page sethgodin.typepad.com to read his insights. Lots of great ideas flow from his mind and I couldn’t resist sharing his post from this past weekend.

Managing the gap

There’s a space between where you are now and where you want to be, ought to be, are capable of being.
A gap between your reality and your possibility.Imagine that space as a gulf or a chasm and you’ll become paralyzed, stuck in the current situation.
And refuse to see it at all and you’ll merely be self-satisfied, and just as stuck. The magic of forward movement is seeing the space as leap-sized, as something that persistent, consistent effort can get you through.
The most likely paths are the ones where you can see the steps.Your problem might not be that you’re not trying hard enough. It might be that you’re seeing the opportunity in the wrong way.
His post echos what I talk about on a daily basis. Managing your mindset and seeing your success. I would suggest stopping by his page everyday as well for a different insight and view. His posts are short and sweet, but filled valuable nuggets.
Make it the best day!

Look up

Many times we get find ourselves looking down or looking behind. Rarely do we look up and forward to what lies ahead. Human nature leads us to think about the past and how we could have done something better or smarter.

Try looking forward and forgetting about the past. You can’t change what happened 2 days or 2 minutes ago. We have the power to change what will happen next. So let’s focus on that.

If we continue to dwell on the past or be bummed about our current situation, nothing will change. Something happened that you are not thrilled about? Don’t dwell on it. Pick your head up, focus on the next task and give it your best effort.

Always look ahead, do the best you can and the results will follow.

Make it the best day!

Step up

Do something that makes you nervous.

Do something you haven’t done before.

Wake up earlier to go on a walk or bike ride.

Say thank you to everyone who does something nice for you throughout the day.

Challenge yourself daily (physically, mentally, emotionally)

Get outside of your comfort zone.

Do something with passion.

Create.

Live.

Embrace and get lost in nature.

Dance.

Take the next step, grow as a person.

Love the rewards.

Make it the best day!

Dominate your Monday

Chances are your alarm went off this morning and a few things came into your head.

  1. S*** it’s Monday and I can’t sleep in
  2. Traffic is going to be brutal
  3. I’m really tired can I just lay here for a while?

Those are just a few samplings I have heard and experienced. Feel free to add you own. Then you can re-create from the sounds of it, a “beautiful and empowering morning!” (I am still getting used to this blog thing. So that was sarcasm if I didn’t lay it our clearly. 🙂

This isn’t going to be a rah rah rah you’re the best and Monday’s are awesome speech. Even though I am capable of delivering it. If you need one let me know!

It’s about using the tools you already have to alter your mind set and create greatness whenever your mind or body want to create doubt. We can bathe in self-depreciation and doubt all day because it is easy. What are you left with at the end of the day? A feeling of exhaustion, less self worth, and an overall bad attitude?

Make small changes to your mindset and self talk to create an unstoppable you. Instead of casting doubt on your talents, abilities and how terrible your week will be. Start your day with a positive affirmation and smile. You will be surprised how much different you will FEEL. The way you FEEL will dictate your day and the best part is. YOU can CONTROL how you FEEL!

Don’t believe me? Try one or all five of the following things when you wake up feeling crummy, stuck in traffic, just got into an argument, etc, you get the idea.

  1. Smile (It’s really that easy)
  2. Say OUT LOUD 3 things you are thankful for in your life. Insert them into the following sentence “I am so happy and thankful for…..”
  3. Put on your favorite good mood song and sing along to the whole thing!
  4. Think about what makes you happy everyday (children, spouse, pet, your car) Say out loud “Driving in my awesome 2004 Sebring makes me feel like a total badass”
  5. Find a quite spot and breathe easy for 5 minutes. Each inhale focus on your breath. Each exhale smile

Life is about feeling. You can change yours in one minute or one second. Remember, you can only truly control you and your thoughts. So why not take those thoughts and make them positive? Make them life altering. Give your thoughts power to make you feel amazing and unstoppable! We are all full of greatness, don’t be afraid to dig deep and find yours.

For the betterment of you and everyone in your life….Dominate your DAY!!

Make it the best day!
