Personal paradise

What is your personal paradise? Where do you go in your mind or as an actual get away to relax and unwind? Why don’t you go there more?

Life is about the journey and the pit stops along the way (good or bad 🙂

What you do now will be the impact 2-4 months from now, maybe sooner. Your present moment mindset (personal paradise) is obviously happening at this moment. Your work goals, relationship progress and friendships are here now because of the work you have put in previously.

Get into your favorite mental paradise every single day. Plan for your physical paradise 3 months out and make it happen. Enjoy the journey, ideally from that hammock in the sun or with the backpack on your shoulders.

Make it the best day!

One step a day

Taking one step a day towards better health is all that it takes. One step in the right direction. This can be eating a healthier meal, going for a walk, swapping water for soda.

Get a head start on the inevitable New Year’s resolution to be healthier. Taking a leap is harder than a step. Start now.

Take a walk instead of watching three straight episodes of a TV show tonight. Sub a sparking water for a soda. Eat a piece of fruit for a snack instead of a sugar laden “granola” bar.

The steps are small. The steps are easy. One at a time, to a healthier life.

The ultimate tool

Our attitude is a key indicator as to how we handle a given situation. Yes, having a good attitude about your current state is important. However, it comes back to mindset when looking at the ultimate tool for success.

What is your present moment mindset? What is your mindset about your upcoming tasks?

Having an open mindset that readily accepts learning new things and the understanding that you can always adapt is important. We are learning everyday.

The most powerful tool you can have is a positive mindset.

Exit Strategy

You’ve made progress in your work and personal life. The goals you set out to achieve you accomplished, after long hours and stressful days.

Now what?

Re-set your goals to achieve a higher income level or more clients? What if this is the end of the current journey and you want to taper it down?

An exit strategy is needed. Not just a move that will drop you on your face but a strategic plan that is congruent with you life goals and objectives. This is as true for the workplace as it is for the market place with your retirement. How do you plan on living comfortably after your working days are done?

Have you planned for the exit in a smooth graceful (duck landing in the water way) or more like a fish trying to jump out of the water?

As uncomfortable as a thought as it may be at times, have an exit strategy waiting. You never know when you will need it. If life throws you a curveball and the exit plan is necessary, there will be much less stress knowing you already have one.

Who clears your path?

What path do you take to success? Is that path clear and easy or does it need some brush cleared out from time to time?

How does the path become more clear? Is it by work of others or by your hard work and dedication?

Chances are if your path seems full of brush, you might be depending on others too much. Your achievements and goals are personal for a reason. It is up to the individual to create those goals and put the work in achieve those goals.

There may be brush in your path, but it’s up to you as the individual to clear it.

Morning Commute

Stressed out about the commute to work tomorrow? Unless you are walking or riding your bike, chances are there will be a car drive, bus or train ride involved. How can you turn the stress of a morning commute into a pleasant trip?

Select music that is calming and has those good vibes. : )

Try to avoid music that has an over aggressive tone and speed. It will amplify the stress of traffic. Find some surfing tunes, classic samba or flamenco. Pleasant feels will follow, guaranteed.

If you don’t have to drive to work, pick up a good book or the paper to read. Expand your knowledge or find and enjoyable book that will take your mind on fun journey.

There are many things that can derail a good morning. Take it into your hands to make your day the best it can be from the start.

Remember your actions determine your outcomes. Be positive and enjoy your Monday!

Reassess your goals

What were the goals you set out to achieve in 2016? We are rapidly approaching the end of the year and now is a great time to asses how far you have come and what you have achieved!

Makes note of your success and what you could have improved on. Be honest when you self assessment. Can you get all of your goals accomplished by the end of 2016? Or is it going to transfer over to 2017?

Even if it does carry over to next year, there is nothing wrong with that. Start planning now to make the most out of your 2017 goals.

Re-assessing your goals and objectives is in an integral part achieving more and progressing.

Outcomes

The journey can be hard and trying. However,  the outcome is what matters. Is it what you intended?

Focus on what you intended and when it comes out that way, rejoice!

Be positive, work through the trying times and rejoice in your outcomes.

Make it the best day!
