Reassess your goals

What were the goals you set out to achieve in 2016? We are rapidly approaching the end of the year and now is a great time to asses how far you have come and what you have achieved!

Makes note of your success and what you could have improved on. Be honest when you self assessment. Can you get all of your goals accomplished by the end of 2016? Or is it going to transfer over to 2017?

Even if it does carry over to next year, there is nothing wrong with that. Start planning now to make the most out of your 2017 goals.

Re-assessing your goals and objectives is in an integral part achieving more and progressing.

Make it the best day!

Excuse me

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Lost? Looking for a file that you can’t find? Don’t know how to pronounce a word in a foreign language?

Asking for help doesn’t mean you’re stupid. It means you want to make sure you get it right. There is no shame is asking questions. Society makes us feel like we should know everything. We obviously don’t, so ask!

Personally or professionally, be the thoughtful question master.

Make it the best day!

What’s in your backpack?

Notebook, phone, wallet, gym clothes, transit card, headphones….dreams?

Where do you want to explore? What drives your passion for working? Do you want to vacation, travel, sit in the back yard?

Each day that passes is a gentle reminder that our time is precious. Your backpack should be full of what you aspire to do.

Setting your intention and making your dreams become realities. Try not to make your pack too heavy. Take in your experiences, not all on your phone.

Pack your bag and live your dreams.

Breathe, look, love, repeat.

Make it the best day!

Why not now?

I will retire and enjoy everything then. One more email then I will relax and spend time with the family. I can be home late again tonight, it’s OK.

More often then not we put our work first and enjoyment second.  We always have time for more work, but never quite enough time to invest in ourselves.

Enjoy what you have now, this moment, this day, this evening. If you step back and look at the big picture, work will always be there. You can always answer another email or schedule a meeting. Create a healthy work life balance. Tomorrow or the next hour is not promised to anyone.

Yes, planning for the future is important. I am not advocating spending all your time traveling or spending all of your earnings and not saving. However, having a balance is integral to living a life filled with quality.

Enjoy the moments with your family and friends by putting your phone away. Setting time restrictions on when your phone retrieves work emails. Your clients and co-workers will get used to not getting emails back on the weekend.

It will be OK. Enjoy your life with each step, instead of anticipating the next 40 with no regard to your current time and place.

Make it the best day!

Keep your head up

No matter what your goals may be there are roadblocks and hurdles. Little things that try stop or hinder you from your goal.

This may go on for 1,2 or 3 months. However, if you keep your intent positive and do the little things that you know will help achieve your goal, you will make it!!

Take the smallest victories on your way to your big goal. If a hurdle pops up, face it with the intent of learning and progressing. By keeping a positive outlook in the face of adversity not only will it make the journey a lot better, but it will make the victory that much sweeter!!

Keep your head up. Have an open mindset every day. Remember. yesterday’s successes or hurdles are in the past. If we truly want to reach our goals we need to treat everyday as new and wonderful opportunity. (Because it is 🙂

Make it the best day!

Giving with gratitude

Giving can come in many forms. It can be in the form of money, hugs, a verbal thank you. Giving is the best way to raise your frequency and operate at a higher level.

Try to give something away for a whole month. Again, this doesn’t have to be money or some large gift. It can be actions or material objects that express gratitude for small tasks up to large tasks.

Try to raise your frequency by giving one thing away a day for a whole month. Help raise someone else’s frequency and achieve your good feels along the way!

Make it the best day!

Be Present

It seems everyday recently I wake and say “I can’t believe it’s August already!”

Then I realize all my thoughts are what I am going to do in future, even when I am doing something I truly enjoy.

Live in the moment. It will move past regardless. Savor it.

The ultimate enjoyment will be the ability to look back and know how fully engaged you were in the present.

Make it the best day!

Gratitude

It’s easy and rewarding.

Someone holds the door for you, “Thank you”

A significant other cleans up or cooks, “Thank you”

Your mom or dad call, “Thank you”

Two words that will bring a smile to your face and have good feels all over your body! If someone thanks you, tell them “You’re Welcome”. Try to avoid the self-defeating statements like “It was nothing” or “No big deal”

Embrace gratitude and see where it takes you.

Make it the best day!
