Routine

The school season has started up again and that means parents can get back in a routine.  Getting the kids off to the bus on time, picking them up after school everyday.

With routine comes freedom. There is a structure to the day Monday through Friday.

Use this routine and structure to your advantage. Plan you workouts around it and meal prep. If there has been a procrastination in hitting your workout goals of 3 days a week, now is the time to start.

Mark the days down on your calendar and make it happen. The routine is back in full swing, make it work for you!

Progress

What makes a good workout? Is is the sweating, the music, an empty gym to yourself?

Many factors come into play. However, above all else one theme should ring true.

Progress.

It can be in the gym or in your personal life. If you make progress, no matter how small it may be, it is a success. Every step leads to a bigger step (as we discussed last week.)

Instead of doing 20 push ups for 3 sets for the sixth week in a row. Do 25 push ups for 3 sets…Progress!!!

Move past your norm, challenge your body and your ability to create new possibilities and realities in your life.

1 day challenge

What have you been wanting to do and been putting off?

One thing that will take you out of your comfort zone. Perhaps only for 1 minute or 1 full day.

This is the 1 day challenge. Do one thing today that you haven’t done before or have been saying “I am going to do ________ this weekend, I swear this time!”

Do it. Then after the fact give yourself a high-five and a pat on the back!

Momentum

It can feel as if you have all or none. Moving with momentum is the easiest part of moving. Why? Because you have assistance, the drive! When you don’t have momentum, everything can feel 100% harder.

How do we regain it? Did we ever lose it?

Focus on your task, little steps end up completing the end goal.

Those little steps build momentum and ultimately help in achieving that end goal.

Create your momentum and fuel it with small steps everyday to achieve your desired result!

Listen

In a conversation we are either listening or we are not. We can be thinking about what happened during our day and just waiting for our turn to talk.

Turn your conversations today into one-sided conversations. I don’t mean that by talking the entire time. I mean that by listening and asking thoughtful and intelligent questions.

Listen to what your conversational parter is actually talking about. Don’t wait for your time to speak, but ask thoughtful questions that will further the conversation.

Attempt to listen today. You will be surprised at what you actually hear.

Giving with gratitude

Giving can come in many forms. It can be in the form of money, hugs, a verbal thank you. Giving is the best way to raise your frequency and operate at a higher level.

Try to give something away for a whole month. Again, this doesn’t have to be money or some large gift. It can be actions or material objects that express gratitude for small tasks up to large tasks.

Try to raise your frequency by giving one thing away a day for a whole month. Help raise someone else’s frequency and achieve your good feels along the way!

Jump the hurdle

The big deal you have been working on didn’t go your way. What do you do now?

Create a story about why it didn’t happen and bemoan the fact you are back at square one? Continue to sulk until you get enough people to feel sorry for you?

Or

Acknowledge it does kind of suck. Realize it happened and now focus on overcoming this challenge to meet your original goal?

You can create a story and look for pity or you can create a new reality and make your previously set goals a reality.

Too often we get caught up in writing our own stories about an event that happens in our life. We replay that over and over until we have complained to enough people or finally want to move on. That can be a long time.

Regardless of how long that time may be, don’t get stuck in your story. Focus on your end goal and learn from what happened.

This experience won’t define you or your success, how you react to it will.

Creating Urgency

Urgency drives business. Perhaps phrased a little better. Urgency drives decisions.

Creating urgency in a sale is paramount to generating new business. Without urgency the client will most likely hem and haw about a decision. Stringing you along for 3 weeks or 3 months. If these is no rush, then why can’t I just wait longer?

Time will kill a deal in any arena. The more time a prospect has to think or weigh other options the less likely you are of securing the business.

Create urgency in tactful and truthful ways. Limited space, current price discount, added value of your product of service. Clients want to purchasing goods and services that will benefit them and serve their business.

When there is urgency in the sale, they will sign and realize those goals sooner once they have joined with you.

Create urgency, form partnerships, drive business.

What’s your time worth?

Have many times have you sat down and said, “Well that was a waste of my time”.

Calculate how much your time is worth. Does what you’re doing make you happy? Is what you are doing furthering an endeavor you are passionate about?

Time is finite. It is a limited asset. Delve into what makes you happy and is worth you time.

Once you have figured that out, do it! If certain activities or people need to be phased out….well so be it.

Your life and your time. Make it count.

Make it the best day!

Create

Create something fun.

Create something that challenges you.

Create with no restraint.

Create from a random idea.

It can be a drawing, a song, a poem, a new meal. So many things to create, don’t let your mind or this blog limit you.

Take some time and tap into your creative juices.

Make it the best day!
